For over a decade, Libby has taken her family to these pools. They've learnt to swim and spent time growing together, sheltered by this big old bridge and the harbour it resides over.
I've always felt passionately about documenting when I shoot, not orchestrating. Some people call it photojournalism but I feel a bit lame labelling myself. When Libby emailed, I knew this would be something special, something that would allow me to document completely.
I said 'yes'. And I'm glad.
These are just stunning. Your documentation is breathtaking.

Beautiful. And this shot? Goosebumps. Also, these two. So good, Tim. Your work inspires me to a greater depth of sight. Photojournalism is perfect to describe your work -- not the typical photos that come to mnd when you think of the phrase, but genuinely documented images of real life. Beautiful, authentic, and heartfelt.
ReplyDeletePhoto #14 instantly was my favorite. Great work as always!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning and so special. Photojournalism? In a way. You are like an observer with a camera. Just in the background capturing all the sweet moments that a family wants to remember forever!
