THE BLACK SHACK | LAKE HAWEA

If you are my friend on Facebook, you would have seen the Black Shack that Keshy and I stayed in while we explored the South Island of New Zealand a few days ago.

Never before have I seen such simple materials come together so beautifully. Timber walls and floors that hold up a tin roof, in the midst of the most special mountains, framed all fairytale like through windows of white.

Each morning, the sun hid its face behind the peaks and toyed with the lake, manifested as shimmers of the celestial kind.

It was the kind of place you really didn't want to leave.

  1. That's ridiculous! NZ proves beautiful things come in small packages.
