THE BRIMBLE FAMILY

Yesterday, I was working with a magazine. I was on location with a journalist and we got to talking about where I was from and what I do.

I'm aware that when I tell people I shoot families and weddings, they might not be super impressed. I struggled to explain how I shoot and why I shoot and why I feel so passionate about it all. Even sitting here now, I can't articulate what this all means to me.

I can tell you that last weekend, I took photos. I had lunch with an amazing family called The Brimbles and these images articulate what I do and why I do it better than any words I can think of.

  1. You don't need words to describe what you do. Your pictures say it all.

  5. Tim, amazing shoot (most beautiful little girl in the history of the universe?). Never feel anything but overwhelmingly proud of what you do, you know thats what all 'your' families feel. Better than any glossy magazine (and we know i love a glossy).

  7. What a beautiful family, you truly capture the essence of a family.
I thought you might get weird looks from saying to people "i shot another family on the weekend" with a serial killer vibe?? Clearly not.
You are in a direction & class all of your own, i loathe posed shots & love candid, even at our wedding, my favourite images are the natural ones.
Congratulations, i love your concept & the direction you go in, love Posie

  10. Tim I don't have a lot of self confidence in the way I look in photos hence as I said to you I hardly have a photo of myself. So right now I want to say thank you for making me see beauty. When your email came through, I called the family and we all sat around the computer, the four of us, sharing that moment of seeing this beautiful photos for the first time, images that we will keep and treasure for the rest of our lives. It's really priceless what you've given us - so thank you again, very much.
