KESH | 14 WEEKS

Keshy is in the shower, Troop is curled up on his bed and I'm just sitting here thinking.

I'm thinking how grateful I am that we have this new life to look forward to. Thinking how I married the most perfect girl in the world. I'm thinking that this world is amazing when you look in the right places.

December will see me returning home, back to the place I grew up. I'm shooting on the Central Coast four weekends in a row. It means I'll get to see my Mum and my Dad. They are beautiful people. As Keshy's belly grows, I think more about them and the time in their lives when I was just a bump.

When Kesh was living in Canada, I would write to her about my life. I remember writing to her about how my Dad became my best friend while she was away. I would spend my weekends with him. He kept me out of trouble, my Dad. We grew closer than ever during that year.

My Dad probably doesn't think it but he is super creative, artistic and talented. He's the kind of guy who can hear a song once and play it back on the piano or the guitar - you choose. He can sing bass, tenor and alto, whichever you need. My Dad, he always says what you need to hear. He is filled with love for his kids. He is a massive softy. He's the kind of person I want to be.

If I can even be a little bit like the Father my Dad has been to me, this new babe will be very lucky.
