ABEL FAMILY | BIG FAMILIES

When Diedre first contacted me, she asked if I shoot families the size of hers. There would be twenty three there on the day.

In my family, we have six kids. Kesh is the same. I'm wedged between older and younger sets of twin sisters.

Before this was my living, I used to take my camera everywhere. Seriously though - if we went to buy a pie for lunch, my camera bag was coming. Birthdays, dinners, sleepovers. My family have come to know that I will always be there with a camera.

Family is where my photography started.

  1. gorgeous (as always) love the one of the little guy squatting down (black and white) - and the shot with the bright blue eyes. What a lovely family (hmmm all that food making me hungry) great shot of the oven full

  4. WOW! Gosh - they really are fantastic. I'm so happy to hear there is someone else who takes their camera EVERYWHERE. People are just so used to me now though - they expect me to have it! I can't wait have you photograph our family next year :)

  6. Just gorgeous. I'm the oldest of seven, so I know how the whole big family thing works. Everyone asks me if I like it, and I think that's the silliest question. Of course I do. They're my siblings -- my family -- my friends.

Life without them would be lonely and incomplete. I feel blessed to have so many siblings, y'know?

  8. You captured everything I love most about families getting together. Kids. Food. A good meal. Nothing pleases me more when I get to do all that with my own. Beautiful Tim!
