KESH | 40 WEEKS

I wasn't going to blog in this series again. I planned to wait until our baby was here. I want to blog tonight though.

Today is a day I want to remember. Baby's due date. I took Kesh to one of our favourite places this afternoon. We parked the car and slowly made our way to the top of the hill.

I see something in these photos I haven't seen in Kesh before. I see that she is ready to have this baby. I see power and assurance. I see her belief; I see her calm.

In the coming days, she will have a baby laid on her chest, both of them having walked a hallowed path. And then, we will know a love we have never known.

Music: Bon Iver 'Perth' on iTunes here.

Kesh wears Unisex Stripe Fisherman's Pullover in Yacht Stripe and Unisex Jumper Pant in Peach Piqué by American Apparel.

  2. I've been reading and following your pregnancy since you both started to share it. For me it is the best of your series. Her face looks so stunning, she has the beauty of the calm, the happiness and the love. She's going to have a marvelous birth. Happy "countdown" :)

  4. I'm so glad you blogged 40 weeks - it's kind of the finale in a way...at the same time it is just the big drum roll for what is to come. Big loves to you and Kesh and baby Coulson...the world waits in anticipation!

  7. I have loved learning more about you through discovering your blog a few weeks ago. Apart from being a wonderful photographer (who I would absolutely love to do a workshop with), it is clear you are even more of a wonderful person, man, husband and I am sure you will be an amazing father. You write about Kesh with such a beautiful love. Men like you are rare and Kesh is truly blessed... and so will your child be too.
It has been said, "The most important thing a man can do for his children is to love their mother." I think you have that well and truly covered.
May you both be truly blessed in the next step of your journey together - parenthood. It is one of the most exciting & wonderful journeys, I believe a couple can do together :)

  8. I have noticed that too - in Kesh's posts on her blog she seems to be more turned inwards, preparing beautifully for the amazing journey that is labour and birth. I have never met either of you, but I'm really excited for you and Kesh and the birth of your baby. What a blessing for your child to have two parents who care so much about it's journey 'Earth-side'. Wonderful. xxx

  16. Just beautiful, I think there is a hint that Kesh has had enough of the waiting as well (who hasn't at 40 weeks). I went two weeks over with my first, people would ring and say have you had it? As if we wouldn't have already told them. I had my partner screening calls. Wishing you the best of luck. That's going to be one stunning baby.
