The cool thing about working for myself is that I'm the boss dog. So, while most of the time I'm snapping families and people in love, every now and then I don't.

I take photos for awesome people like Pete. He is crazy talented. Seriously - the man turns junk into proper masterpieces. I am happy to report that he and I have reached an agreement. It involves me taking photos of his awesome furniture, in exchange for...his awesome furniture.

If you want some of Pete's craftiness in your house, get in contact with me. The man can make anything from anything. Check out the bellows in the images below that is now a coffee table. A website is on the way but in the meantime, check out some previous images from time I've spent with Pete.

My Little Printmaker

Thursdays are my script writing class at TAFE. I don't enjoy writing scripts. Formulas, structures, requirements and restrictions on what I can write about aren't my thing.

I courted CityRail way past my regular stop and kept Keshy company all the way to the city. We laughed, listened to music, slept and then kissed each other goodbye for the morning.

I went to the General Pants office (shout outs to my home boys and girls). It was seriously awesome to see everyone again. The girls hooked Keshy up too, which was unexpected but super lovely.

I headed back up to COFA to snap Keshy doing what she does: printmaking. She is so talented and really is the creative and artistic one. Click here to see more photos on Keshy's blog.

Sea Legs

Yesterday, I was asked what my dream job would be. Money didn’t matter and it could be anything.

"Taking photos of cool people, in cool places, doing cool things”.

And that’s exactly what I did.

Here’s just a taster of what Azza does. I’ll be posting the main course tomorrow, with desert and a little surprise at some point in the future.

Sea Legged

Generally, humans are animals of patterned or learned behaviour. A lot of us do the jobs we do, just because that's all we've ever done. It's easier to continue on in what we know, than to leap into the unknown.

Azza is a mate who has been in retail close on twenty years. On Saturday night he flew back into the country with no job to go back to. You see, he quit. Not because he hated what he did or where he worked but quit to pursue a passion: board making.

I've got complete respect for Az, and have his back for making this huge decision. A superrr talented and ridiculously creative shaper, Az makes boards that do more than get ridden. They are as unique as each person who orders one. Check him out here for boards in the finished state.
